Health Supervisor / EMT / Nurse (# of positions available:1) You must be 21 years of age. A licensed physician, registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, paramedic or an emergency medical technician is desired. As health supervisor you will be required to supervise and be responsible for the general health and safety of all campers and staff. You will be responsible to and directly supervised by the Camp Director and will work under the technical direction of a licensed physician (with offices nearby). You must have the ability to work with campers and staff members of diverse backgrounds as well as support Girl Scout program and mission. We ask that you are able to model behavior consisten with the Principles of Inclusiveness and Girl Scout Mission, Promise, Values and Law. As health supervisor there may be situations that contain high stress levels and working under pressure. The health supervisor must be able to put the health and safety of campers & staff first before participating in other camp activities.

Boating Director/Coordinator (# of positions available:1) It is desirable that you are at least 21 years of age for this position and we ask that you have prior supervisory experience. As boating director/coordinator you will be managing, organizing and implementing activities at boating areas that are consistent with Gril Scouts and ACA standards. You will have to ensure boating activities meet unit objectives and integrate other specilaized camp events. You will be overseeing and supervising all boating staff. You must hold current lifeguard, first aid and CPR certifications from a nationally accepted organization; have advanced skills in swimming, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, and windsurfing; teaching experience in all is preferable. Experience in outdoor programming with children and teens; resident camp experience is desired. We ask that you have a desire to work and live in a camp community, the desire & ability to work with children and teens in an outdoor setting and the ability to relate to your peer group. It is necessary to have the ability to accept and give guidance and supervision as well as possessing good character, integrity and adaptability. We are looking for someone with enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience and self-control. We ask that the boating director/coordinator have the ability to ensure that campers have fun in a safe environment, the ability to work with campers and staff members of diverse backgrounds & the ability to model behavior consistent with the Principles of Inclusiveness and Girl Scout Mission, Promise, Values and Law.

Waterfront Director (# of positions availabe:1) It is desirable that you are at least 21 years of age with prior supervisory experience.
As Waterfront director your job is to manage, organize and implement activities at the waterfront and boating areas that are consistent with Girl Scout and ACA standards.  You must ensure waterfront and boating activities meet unit objectives and integrate other specialized camp events as well as direct and supervise the waterfront staff. You must hold current Lifeguard certification from a nationally accepted organization and have advanced skills in swimming and teaching experience required.  You must hold current First Aid and CPR & current Water Safety Instructor desired. We ask that you have experience in outdoor programming with children and teens; resident camp experience and a desire to work and live in a camp community. The waterfront director should have the desire and ability to work with children and teens in an outdoor setting as well as the ability to relate to their peer group. We ask that you have the ability to accept and give guidance and supervision, possess good character, integrity and adaptability. We are looking for a candidate with enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience and self-control as well as the ability to ensure that campers have fun in a safe environment. Food Service Manager/Head Cook (# of positions available:1)To be the food service manager/ head cook we ask that you are at least 21 years of age. We are looking for someone with experience in a camp or institutional food service setting, including training and experience in cooking for large groups.  You must be able to lift 25 lbs. As food service manager/head cook your job would be to plan, direct and supervise the camp’s food service. You are responsible to and would work under the direct supervision of the Camp Director. Knowledge of nutrition and knowledge of health department guidelines for food service facilities is desired. We ask that as head cook you possess good supervisory skills as well as the ability to relate well to others in and out of the kitchen. You must be able to work with campers and staff members of diverse backgrounds and have the ability to model behavior consistent with the Principles of Inclusiveness and Girl Scout Mission, Promise, Values and Law. We ask that you support the mission of Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana.

Unit Staff (# of positions available:13-14) As a unit staff member you must be at least 18 years of age. As a unit staff member you will need to be able to perform the duties of a group leader as well as working together with the other members of your unit. You will be expected to help each camper in her unit to understand and live up to the Girl Scout Promise and Law while developing and using a democratic form of government for decision making in the units. You will help to plan, carry out and evaluate activities and develop enjoyment and appreciation of the out-of-doors. You will work together with other unit staff to plan, teach, & coordinate the unit activities. You will be asked to be a supportive & contributing member of the total camp community. Our ideal candidates would have experience in outdoor programming with children and teens. Background in and knowledge of Girl Scouting also preferred.  We ask that you possess some knowledge of group living skills, and good communication skills as well as have a desire to work and live in a camp community. Boating Assistant (# of positions available: 1-2) Teach boating lessons: sailing, canoeing, kayaking, and sailboarding. Must have related boating experience. Small Craft Safety Instructor or other boating certifications desired. Current Lifeguard certification required (we can train). Experience in sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, and kayaking required. Age 18+.

Waterfront Assistant (# of positions available: 1-2) A minimum age of 18 is required. Must hold current Lifeguard certification from a nationally accepted organization, as well as current First Aid and CPR as well as advanced swimming skills. The waterfront assistant will assist in the organizing and administration of activities at the Waterfront and Canoe areas, as assigned by the Waterfront Director. They must desire to work and live in a camp community and have the desire and ability to work with children in an outdoor setting. The waterfront assistant must be able to relate to their peer group and have the ability to accept guidance and supervision.  We are looking for someone with good character, integrity, adaptability & enthusiasm, a sense of humor, patience and self-control. They must have the ability to ensure that campers have fun in a safe environment and to work with campers and staff members of diverse backgrounds.  Lastly they must possess the ability to model behavior consistent with the Principles of Inclusiveness and Girl Scout Mission, Promise, Values and Law.

Assistant Cook (# of available positions: 1) The minimum age is 18 to work as an assistant cook and we ask that you have the ability to read menus and understand weights and measurements. You must be able to lift 25 lbs. and have a desire to work in the food service area. Experience in camp or institutional food-service setting, including training and experience in cooking for large groups is preferred. As the assistant cook you would help and assist with the implementation of the camp’s food service. We ask that you have the ability to relate well to others in and out of the kitchen. You must have the ability to work with campers and staff members of diverse backgrounds and to model behavior consistent with the Principles of Inclusiveness and Girl Scout Mission, Promise, Values and Law. Kitchen Helper/Packout (# of positions available: 1)The pack out/kitchen helper must be at least 18 years of age and possess the ability to read menus, weights and measurements. They must also have a desire to work in a camp community. As the pack out/kitchen helper your job would be to fill pack-out orders as requested and to assist the cooks as needed.  You will also need to be a supportive & contributing member of the total camp community. You must have the ability to relate to the peer group with the ability to accept guidance and supervision. You must possess good character, integrity and adaptability.
